We were excited to be having dinner at Husk with friends. One of our favorite restaurants in the city is McCrady’s where Sean Brock is also the chef. I was thrilled to see as reported by the Post and Courier that opening night was like a well-oiled machine, as there are usually a few speed bumps with a new restaurant opening.
There is only one word that could describe our recent dining experience at Halls Chophouse – perfect! In an era where great service and unbelievable food seems hard to find, at Halls Chophouse it is plentiful.
I love it when I’m pleasantly surprised by a dining experience. As cliché as it may sound it does make me stop and say, “Wow, that was something!” Such was the case at Eurasia the other night.......
An Unexpected Hidden Jewel! On a quick trip to Staples in the Whole Foods Plaza in Mt. Pleasant I noticed activity from a long since vacant restaurant Coco’s. I peeked in to see a welcoming, contemporary restaurant with a fairly busy lunch crowd and decided to investigate a little more.
I had no knowledge of FIG only that another neighbor challenged me on my blog saying that FIG was by far the best restaurant in Charleston, and that the chef was a James Beard Award winner and why hadn’t I gone there? I can also say that prior attempts to make reservations were difficult.
